North Sails Opti Segel V Radial

The V series from North Sails enables maximum boat speed with extremely good acceleration properties for Opti sailors. The sail is basically cut radially and has a cross-cut panel in the upper area. This gives the possibility that the sail top twists up in the leech area and a high boat speed can be maintained. Overall, the sail of the V series remains extremely dimensionally stable in all wind conditions and at the same time reacts much more sensitively to trim changes.

This sail is very dynamic, reacts perfectly to the fuel tension or to changes made by the sailor and may offer the decisive advantage over your opponents in regattas.

TUNING GUIDE:

In light winds (0 - 8 knots) and waves, the sail should be sailed with small folds. In this way, the leech can be twisted a little and a higher speed can be driven. In flat water and strong winds (>16 knots) the sprint tension can be increased as long as the sailor can sail the boat upright. So the leech will be closed a little more and more height will be ridden. In the medium wind range (9 - 15 knots) the fuel voltage depends on the individual characteristics of the sailor. It tends to be possible to sail with a slightly lower fuel tension (small creases) but at a higher speed.
