What is Offshore Oilskin?

Oilskin or simply sailwear for offshore use is by definition heavy oilskin . This means that it is made from stronger, often multi-layer materials which remain highly windproof and above all waterproof in rain, fresh or salty seawater, whether crystal clear or dirty. But trainers also like to wear offshore clothing when they spend long periods in autumn or spring on their inflatable boat in freezing cold or bad weather conditions without moving much.
