Zaoli 470 mainsail R 16 L - GOLD medals mainsail in Rio 2016

The 470 mainsail R16L was developed together with the two gold medal winners of Rio 2016 - Sime Fantela and Igor Marenic - for their campaign and went into series only afterwards. The mainsail has the same profile as its predecessor, the R15. However, the luff was renewed by lengthening it and at the same time applying more tension to the luff guide. This allows the sail even greater variability by using more cunningham. This cut also helps to have a fuller mainsail on the downwind.
